Do you allow alcohol?
Yes!
A Virginia ABC Banquet license is required at Venue 1848. Restrictions apply and you may require a bartender.

Where do people park?
Your have options!
The Venue 1848 parking lot is located behind our building. There is also free street parking within easy walking distance.

Do you require event insurance? Yes!
Accidents happen and liability insurance protects you from loss. Check with your private insurance agent or consider an online service provider. We recommend www.theeventhelper.com.

Can I choose my own vendors?
Sure!
We recommend licensed, insured, professional vendors that we know will serve you well. If you want to use a vendor that is not on our list, let us know! We will be happy to check them out.

Is V1848 easily accessible?
Yes!
For the best access, park in the lot behind our building and enter downstairs through the Green Gate Courtyard. Come in the back door to eliminate the use of stairs and avoid crossing the street. We also have an accessible family restroom.

Do you rent for studio use?
Whenever possible!
We are happy to accommodate requests for photoshoots, studio rental and commercial work. We particularly love to collaborate on projects that align with our vision. Inquire; we’ll chat!

What is the Maximum Capacity? 75 people.
The type of event, your seating arrangement and other space requirements will all be factors to consider. Inquire to determine if V1848 is a good fit for your vision.

When does the train come?
We never know!
There is no schedule available to the public for freight trains but we love seeing them. It’s always a happy surprise when they pass by!
